Brian D. Krecklo

Initially, Mr. Krecklo worked in the private sector for a number of firms, across many industries, and in a variety of corporate information systems and technology roles; increasing his position level and scope of responsibility with each assignment. 

In 1975, Mr. Krecklo founded an executive search firm specializing in high level placement of talent in the corporate information systems & technology sector.  For the next three decades, he gained a reputation as a key resource for high/senior level talent in this sector.  As part of his role, Mr. Krecklo monitored compensation practices for senior managers/executives in both the public and private sectors.  He was also instrumental in negotiating market competitive remuneration packages that met the needs of his clients, as well as prospective employees.

Since 2005, through a consulting association between Gazda Houlné & Associates Inc. – Management Consultants to the Municipal Sector - and Krecklo International Inc; Brian has gained extensive municipal sector knowledge, experience and contacts; working with municipalities of varying size to meet their organization needs in the areas of executive recruitment, succession planning, compensation, organization and staffing, and performance management. Through his current work with the “Gazda-Krecklo Annual Survey of Compensation”, he is well versed on remuneration trends/developments in the municipal sector, thus providing him with an exceptional perspective on municipal recruitment.

Mr. Krecklo attended Concordia University where he completed the majority of the course work for a Bachelor of Commerce, with a Computer Science major. He continued his post university education and successfully obtained a CHRP (Certified Human Resources Professional) designation.

Mr. Krecklo is active in a number of organizations, including: l'Ordre des CRHA du Québec, and with the Human Resources Professional Association “HRPA” in Ontario. Previously, as an active member, he has participated in many programs at the global Association of Executive Search Consultants, Inc. ("AESC"), based in New York and Brussels. In addition, he has attended several relevant high-level professional seminars in the Canada and the United States; Brian is fluent in English and French.
