Michael J. Timmons
A hands-on professional human resource executive and an excellent communicator, Michael Timmons has been effective in fulfilling a number of complex searches in the IT area for prominent Montreal-based corporate clients.
His success in these executive recruitment assignments comes from his many years of experience, much of it international, as a human resource executive. Mike's background includes employee relations, senior executive development, performance management, succession planning, and implementation of total overall quality action programs, including TQM and ISO 9000 certification, plus executive training and development programs, recruitment, as well as integration of the corporation's commitment to community affairs. Mike is recognized as a provider of innovative and creative human resource solutions. His significant contributions in human resource planning, development and management led to many positive financial and human resource improvements to the organizations affected. A supportive leader, Mike maintains a strong interest in people and in their development.
Prior to his formal relationship with Krecklo International and its associated firms, Mike was Director, Human Resource Planning and Development for Dominion Textile, in Montreal (1988 to 1998). In this capacity, he managed staffing, succession planning, performance management, senior management development programs, quality control management, resolution of performance problems, and provided guidance and coaching to corporate management. Mike was responsible for the direct recruitment of top executives on a worldwide basis. This included key positions for Dominion Textile directly, and indirectly for a number of the new and highly diversified major worldwide acquisitions, including positions to be filled in Canada, the United States, Singapore, Italy and France. Mike played a direct role in the recruitment of presidents, vice-presidents and other top executives.
Dominion Textile management and staff reported significant improvements in communications and relationships resulting from the Senior Managers' Development Programs for which Mike was responsible. In the management of succession planning, Mike aided significantly in "raising the bar" in terms of new skill sets introduced to the rapidly expanding complement of senior managers.
Previously, Mike was Manager, Organizational Planning and Development for Canadian International Paper (1980 to 1988). His responsibilities covered positions spread across Canada and key United States locations. His additional experience includes senior human resource and engineering responsibilities for Canadair, Alcan and Stelco.
An MBA (Concordia University, 1985) and a Professional Engineer, Mike brings to Krecklo International and its associated firms a significant depth and experience in human resource executive management search and selection on a global basis.
